The Sabian FRX Ride

This 22-inch ride is made from Sabian's special B20 alloy, which is a combination of silver, tin and copper. Once the alloy has hardened, the cymbal is put into a machine for hammering. The holes drilled around the bell are designed to filter out the loudest frequencies when the cymbal is played, which lowers the volume level. After a thorough quality control, the cymbal is put away for a couple months to ripen much like a cheese. Finally, it's manually checked again and played to ensure it offers the premium quality Sabian is known for.
